Opened in 2005, and set on Jianguo Xi Lu in the Former French Concession area, Vedas Indian Restaurant was named after the sacred Hindu scriptures. Vedas has attractive and classy Indian decor - featuring hand-crafted Indian chairs (padded for comfort) and lots of gold and red wood. The tasty cuisine is pan-Indian, prepared by Indian chefs, as you can see from the open kitchen. Good service. And nice "maharaja-style" lounge, too.
